What is District Taco?

District Taco is a quality Mexican (Yucatan style!) fast-casual restaurant serving up fresh, simple, and healthy food! All of our food is made fresh daily from quality ingredients. Not to mention, it’s delicious!

How was District Taco started?

In 2009, two neighbors got together over some homemade chips, salsa and guacamole and decided to launch District Taco as a food truck. District Taco has since grown and now operates multiple brick and mortar locations in Washington, DC, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

What does Orale mean? How about Buen Provecho? 

"Orale!" roughly translates to "Right On!". "Buen provecho" means "enjoy your meal!"

There was something wrong with my order. How do I get this resolved?

Please submit your query using our green support button which is located in bottom right corner and a member of our Customer Service team will get back to you within 24 hours or within the next business day. You can also email us at taco@districttaco.com. We appreciate any customer feedback and want to make any mistakes right as soon as possible.

I have an allergy. How do I know what I can eat? 

Check out our Special Diet Information. Please visit the green Support button located at the bottom right corner for any other questions regarding allergens and a member of our team will get back to you shortly.

Is the dairy used at District Taco pasteurized dairy?

Yes! The dairy that we use for our cheese, queso, and sour cream are made with pasteurized milk.

Do you have vegetarian/vegan options?

Our Special Diet Information sheet can guide you through what menu items are vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Is your food spicy?

The pepper symbol on our menu is used to indicate which menu items are considered spicy. The more pepper symbols next to a menu item, the more likely you should avoid it.

Can I buy your salsa jarred?

Unfortunately, we do not sell our salsa in jars, but we're working on it! For now, you’ll just have to enjoy it from our Salsa Bar. Sorry, amigos!

Online Ordering/Rewards

Do you have online ordering?

Si! We want to make it easy for you to skip the line and enjoy your tacos!  Use our website, or download one of our mobile applications on iOS or Android to place your next order.

Does District Taco deliver? 

Yes! We deliver orders through a partnership with Doordash. To order for delivery, there is a $20 minimum.

Can I pay with a gift card for an online order?

Yes. You can choose “Add New Gift Card” at check out and enter the number on the back of the gift card. For the time being, this feature is available only on our website. 

Does District Taco have a rewards program?

Yes. District Taco partners with LevelUp to allow customers to accumulate credit and earn super cool rewards!

What if I already have a LevelUp account?

Your login information will work in our mobile apps and for online ordering.

How do I earn credit?

You earn $2 just for signing up and $10 for every $100 spent after that. Enjoy!

How is LevelUp credit applied? 

Any credit/rewards unlocked in your account is automatically applied to your very next transaction. You do not need to do anything besides pay with the LevelUp and the credit will apply. You will be able to see that the credit applied by looking at the emailed receipt OR clicking on the line item in your transaction history (there will be total, credit applied, and outstanding balance).

My birthday reward wasn’t applied? What do I do now?

Feliz Cumpleaños! Most likely, it was applied automatically without you knowing. First, check your online emailed receipt to double check. If you still don’t see it applied, please visit the green support button on the bottom right corner and one of us and we will get it worked out for you!

How can I request a donation or schedule a fundraiser?

District Taco is committed to supporting our local communities by giving back to public schools, extracurricular organizations, and surrounding charitable organizations. Check out our donations page to see if your organization fits within our guidelines! If it does, please visit the green Support button located at the bottom right corner and a member of our team will assist you.

I’m a Firefighter/Police Officer/ Military member. Do you offer discounts?

Thank you for your service to our community and country! As a thank you, provide your Active Duty CAC or badge to receive 25% off of a meal up to $15.00.

Sadly, I don’t live near any DT locations. How can I buy a gift card for someone else?

We’re sorry to hear that you don’t live near a District Taco location to enjoy it for yourself. Maybe we will come your way soon! In the meantime, you can buy gift cards from our online store. Check out the DT swag while you’re at it!

How can I check my gift card balance?

Please visit the green Support button located at the bottom right corner and provide the number located on the back of the card. A member of our team will get back to you with the balance shortly.

Have a non-profit organization that you think is awesome in our new community?
